Dr. Yetunde Oke - I am a Senior Public Health Expert with over a 15years’experience in providing technical leadership to development programmes on Health System strengthening. I hold a medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate degrees in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
My career has involved providing high-quality leadership as Public Expert to the Global Fund, UKAID-funded Support to National Malaria Programme (Phase 2) and the USAID/President Malaria Initiative-funded Malaria Action Program for States (MAPS) in Nigeria.
I have been actively involved in delivering technical assistance to the development, review and evaluation of public health policy on health system strengthening across public (national and subnational levels) and private sectors. I have also coordinated and monitored the implementation of national public health strategy to expand coverage and access to safe and quality assured public health interventions – including the design, establishment and operationalization of national quality assurance framework for health system strengthening.
I currently act as advisor to bilateral and multilateral development agencies through capacity building for healthcare leaders and practitioners, especially the development of institutional practices to improve health outcomes.
