He completed his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees while studying full time at the University of Cape Town. More recently, he completed part time studies at Rhodes University, where he graduated with a PhD (Education) degree. His research interests lie mainly in the areas of leadership development, tacit knowledge, voluntary organisations, organisational change and development. He has authored and co-authored 16 journal articles, 5 Books and chapters in Books, and 36 Conference papers. He has successfully supervised and graduated three Doctoral Candidates, four Master of Commerce candidates] and 31 MBA candidates.
He is a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Professional Board of Psychology of the Health Professions Council of South Africa and he has consulted to, and conducted training on behalf of National Parliament, government departments, NGO’s and private companies, including extensive work in the automotive industry.
